Bamboo Vacation House

The building is located in the tropical
climatezone, which has a warm and rainy
climate.The building, which sits on a 45
degree inclined land, was designed to
adapt to geographical and climatic
conditions. Bamboo, thatch, wood
building materials are mainly seen in the
design. The top cover of the structure,
which has a bamboo skeleton system, is
formed by a shell system consisting of
thatch in the form of a vault. In the design
of the building, it is aimed to adapt to the
natural environment.The structure rises on
bamboo legs, which are an uninterrupted
part of the skeletal system. The building is
designed as a holiday home for two
people, suitable for a short stay. Vaulted
form of the building; It has been designed
taking into account situations such as the
descent of the rain, the use of wind and

protection from the sun.

Bamboo shade element is a material obtained by taking vertical sections of bamboo. The fabric based material placed between the bamboo sections is both a shadow element as it is semi-permeable to light, and its air-permable form helps to provide natural ventilation in the interior.

In the building, the view of all three facades is tried to be evaluated in the best way. Interior and exterior spaces are designed in such a way that you can see the view of at least one facade in each of the different activities. The absence of settlements around the building allows flexibility in this point.
